About Rhodium
The most expensive precious metal, often 10 times the price of gold. Used in catalytic converters to reduce vehicle emissions. Highly reflective and used in mirrors and searchlights. Rhodium plating gives white gold its white color. Discovered in the crude platinum ore from South America. The name means rose in Greek due to the rose color of its compounds.
