About Meitnerium
Named after Lise Meitner, the physicist who explained nuclear fission and was famously passed over for the Nobel Prize. Created in Darmstadt by fusing bismuth and iron. Only dozens of atoms have ever been confirmed, surviving a few seconds. Nothing is known of its chemistry; it is expected to resemble a heavier iridium.
