About Darmstadtium
Named after Darmstadt, Germany, the city whose GSI laboratory created it by smashing lead and nickel together. A handful of atoms, decaying in fractions of a second. Its name was agreed in 2003 after the transfermium wars finally ended. No chemistry has been measured, but it is predicted to behave like a heavier platinum.
