About Copernicium

Named after Nicolaus Copernicus, who moved Earth from the center of the universe. Made in Darmstadt from lead and zinc ions. Theory predicts something bizarre for so heavy an element: relativistic effects may make copernicium semi noble and volatile, possibly liquid or gas-like near room temperature. Its longest lived isotope survives about 28 seconds.
