About Nihonium
The first element ever discovered in Asia, named after Nihon, Japan. Created in Tokyo by fusing zinc and bismuth after a nine year campaign by the RIKEN team. Formally named in 2016, it crowned a Japanese national scientific dream. A few atoms have been made, decaying within seconds. Its chemistry is completely unknown.
